The Gramercy Christian Warriors will head out to take on the Community Christian Cyclones at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Friday, Gramercy Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Jacksonville Christian Academy, but they still walked away with a 58-53 win. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Conquerors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Gramercy Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luke Bowling, who went 6 of 12 en route to 16 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Bowling a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Easton Munroe, who made all 5 shots he took for 13 points.
Gramercy Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Community Christian suffered their closest loss since December 14, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Faith Christian Academy by a score of 76-73. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (62), the Cyclones still had to take the loss.
Gramercy Christian will need to focus on slowing down Evan Gattis, one of several Community Christian players who made an impact when they last played. He went 11 for 21 to rack up 29 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jared Kovach, who went 9 of 18 on his way to 19 points along with seven boards and four steals.
Gramercy Christian's win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Community Christian, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 17-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Gramercy Christian has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 33.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Community Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.8 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Gramercy Christian was taken down by Community Christian 91-60 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Gramercy Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
