Basketball Game Preview: Southeastern Christian Academy Warriors vs. Wilmington Christian Academy Patriots

Southeastern Christian Academy is 0-5 against Wilmington Christian Academy since February of 2022 but things could change on Monday. The Southeastern Christian Academy Warriors will challenge the Wilmington Christian Academy Patriots at 5:45 p.m. After both made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Monday.

Southeastern Christian Academy is headed into the matchup having just posted their biggest win since December 3, 2024 last Friday. They claimed a resounding 56-23 victory over Liberty Christian Academy. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Warriors had established a 25 point advantage.

It was another big night for Ella Gregory, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten steals. Those 28 points gave her a new career-high. Ryleigh St.George was another key player, putting up nine points and seven boards.

Southeastern Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty Christian Academy only posted four assists.

Meanwhile, Wilmington Christian Academy entered their tilt with Whiteville on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They breezed by the Wolfpack to the tune of 51-22. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 24 points or more this season.

Wilmington Christian Academy has also been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.2 points per game. As for Southeastern Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.

Southeastern Christian Academy took a serious blow against Wilmington Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 60-16. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Southeastern Christian Academy was down 48-4.
