Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask King). They came out on top against the Temecula Valley Golden Bears by a score of 47-39 on Friday. The Wolves pushed the score to 40-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Golden Bears cut but never quite recovered from.
King got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ben* Major out in front who rushed for 250 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 11.9 yards per carry. Major showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 69 yards. Colton* Zeen was in the mix too, providing King with three touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: King was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 536 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
