Somerville is 1-7 against Lynn English since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Somerville Highlanders will head out on the road to face off against the Lynn English Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m.
Somerville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 51-41 to Boston Latin.
Meanwhile, Lynn English took their game at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 82-51 win over Revere. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lynn English.
Lynn English can attribute much of their success to Denzell Guillen, who scored 22 points, and Kyle Kemembin, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds. Pierre Veras was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Somerville bumped their record down to 0-2 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lynn English, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
Somerville was dealt a bruising 94-30 loss at the hands of Lynn English when the teams last played back in January. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Somerville was down 55-14.
