Justin Jones was the best receiver in the league this week as St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute fell to Aquinas Institute. Jones racked up 2 receptions for 77 yards. Nigel Davis helped St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 12 yards.
The Marauders' Mike McCarthy and Jones led the league in both passing and receiving yards. McCarthy has thrown for 562 yards this season, while Jones, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 8 catches for 228 yards. Qadree Ollison from Canisius leads the league in rushing with 623 yards.
At the moment, the Crusaders are in third, while St. Mary's is in first.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Canisius takes on the Lancers. Rich Robbins' team has allowed 27 points this season, while St. Mary's has given up 13. The Crusaders allowed 9 points last week as they topped St. Francis.
Cardinal O'Hara made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,131 from 9,296. The improvement was the result of a 23-16 victory over the Hawks last week.
