Basketball Recap: Cary Academy Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

If Charlotte Country Day School wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Cary Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Aidan Rousseau. The Cary Academy Chargers walked away with a 71-62 victory over the Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers on Saturday thanks in part to Rousseau, who shot 4-for-7 from deep and dropped a double-double on 31 points and 13 boards. Those 31 points gave him a new career-high.

Cary Academy's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-7. As for Charlotte Country Day School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Cary Academy and Cary Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Cary Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.9 points per game this season. As for Charlotte Country Day School, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Rabun Gap-Nacoochee at 7:00 p.m.
