Another player making a difference was  Deziray Skirka, who  scored 11 points along with six  rebounds and five  assists.
 Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought  contest, but Hanover-Horton had to settle for a  40-38 defeat against Leslie on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Hanover-Horton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings  (they are ranked 227th, while Leslie is ranked 102nd).
 Quincy pushed their record up to 7-11 with that  win, which was their third straight  at home. Those good results were due in large part to their  offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Hanover-Horton, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.
