Meanwhile, there's no place like home for King's Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They put the hurt on Calvary Academy with a sharp 15-5 victory on Monday. That looming 15-5 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Knights yet this season.
Like Gloucester County Christian, King's Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Bridet Levandoski. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Levandoski has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, King's Christian got a massive performance out of Ava Garcia, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. King's Christian pushed their record up to 3-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Gloucester County Christian, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Gloucester County Christian suffered a grim 18-2 defeat to King's Christian in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Conquerors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
