Centre is 2-8 against the Redskins since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Centre Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Little River Redskins at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Tuesday, Centre came up short against the Bluebirds and fell 53-42. Centre has not had much luck with the Bluebirds recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Meanwhile, Little River ended up a good deal behind the Gorillas on Tuesday and lost 59-42.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Blayne Baldetti, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Renken, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.
Centre's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Little River, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Centre took a serious blow against the Redskins when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 59-23. Can Centre avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
