The Oasis Academy Bighorns are on the road again on Wednesday to play the Coral Academy of Science - Reno Falcons at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, it was close, but Oasis Academy sidestepped Silver Stage for a 3-2 win.
Oasis Academy took Silver Stage into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 23-25, 22-25, 27-25, 16-13.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oasis Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dahlila Creer, who hit 71.4% for five kills18 aces. The dominant performance gave Creer a new career-high in hitting percentage.
Oasis Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 29 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Coral Academy of Science - Reno beat Battle Mountain 3-1 last Saturday.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 19-25, 25-21, 26-24.
Oasis Academy's record is now 8-11. As for Coral Academy of Science - Reno, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
