Despite the loss, Summit Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Cole Miller scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miller has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Miller, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Summit Christian Academy were working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Grove Christian School's game on Monday was all tied up 28-28 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 75-63 to Denbigh Baptist Christian.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Jacob Garrison and Ethan Claville. Claville had a great game and scored 23 points. Meanwhile, Garrison was balling out in the loss, almost dropping a double-double on 19 points and nine assists.
Summit Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for Grove Christian School, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Summit Christian Academy have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 27.3 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Grove Christian School struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.9 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
