The Cape Fear Christian Academy Eagles will take on the West Johnston Wildcats in a tournament on Thursday. Cape Fear Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.6 points per game this season.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Lathan Wilborn, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Kayden Dunkins, who went 8 of 17 en route to 16 points.
Meanwhile, West Johnston ended up a good deal behind Cleveland last Friday and lost 60-44. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 534th, while the Rams are ranked 94th).
Like Cape Fear Christian Academy, West Johnston lost despite seeing results from several players. Josh Dyson led the charge by putting up seven points along with ten rebounds and seven blocks. With that strong performance, Dyson is now averaging an impressive 2.2 blocks per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian McFall, who posted ten points and five boards.
This is the second loss in a row for West Johnston and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Cape Fear Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-3 record this season.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Cape Fear Christian Academy has been crazy accurate this season, having nailed 48.9% of their shots per game. It's a different story for West Johnston, though, as they've only made 31.9% of their field goals this season. Given Cape Fear Christian Academy's sizable advantage in that area, West Johnston will need to find a way to close that gap.
