South Florence had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the May River Sharks on Saturday as they made off with a 14-4 victory. Considering the Bruins have won 16 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Payton Perry made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
