Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 11 more assists than your opponent, a fact Dundy County-Stratton proved on Tuesday. They came out on top against Paxton by a score of 63-53.
It was another big night for Jackson Kerchal, who scored 33 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of August Shaw, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Maywood/Hayes Center stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Hitchcock County as Maywood/Hayes Center made off with a 60-34 win. The victory was nothing new for Maywood/Hayes Center as they're now sitting on five straight.
Maywood/Hayes Center had a senior duo take command as Haydn Farr scored 23 points along with five rebounds and two steals and Jeremiah Ingison dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Farr continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaxson Anders, who scored four points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Dundy County-Stratton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Maywood/Hayes Center, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.
Friday's game is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Dundy County-Stratton have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 43.9% of their threes per game. However, it's not like Maywood/Hayes Center struggles in that department as they've made 42.8% of their threes per game this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
