The Norwich Free Academy Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 70-57 to East Lyme. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Graham, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Armanee Davis, who scored 15 points.
East Lyme can attribute much of their success to Jaylen Hannans, who scored 22 points. Michael Timpano was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Norwich Free Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for East Lyme, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Norwich Free Academy will take on Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 253 points over their last three games. As for East Lyme, they will head out on the road to face off against Ledyard at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
