The Skyline Vikings put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 61-43 win over Decatur Heritage Christian Academy. That's another feather in the cap for Skyline, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Decatur Heritage Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Katelyn Cooper and Genie Mcghee. Cooper scored 16 points along with 8 rebounds, while Mcghee scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. The match was Cooper's third in a row with at least ten points.
Skyline's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Decatur Heritage Christian Academy, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 9-1.
Skyline will be playing at home against Oakwood Academy at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Oakwood Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 219th, while Skyline is ranked 47th). As for Decatur Heritage Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Holly Pond at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
