Borden was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to first in 1A 6 Man 1 Region I District 4 (6 Man). The Coyotes vanquished Plainview Christian 64-40 earlier in the week.
Grady was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after a bye. The Wildcats came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 30 last week.
Borden's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Coyotes feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tanner Richey has thrown for 325 yards and four touchdowns this season, while TJ Basquez has 13 catches for 264 yards. Richey also leads the league in rushing with 2166 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Borden and Klondike. Trey Richey's team enters the game ranked 11th in the state, while the Cougars ranks 24th.
Two of the top units in 1A 6 Man 1 Region I District 4 (6 Man) will face off this week when the Coyotes take on Klondike. Borden's offense has scored 502 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Chad Fouts' team has allowed only 154 on the year.
