Last Friday, Lunenburg Central was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 53-49 to Prince Edward County. Lunenburg Central has not had much luck with Prince Edward County recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Randolph-Henry suffered their biggest defeat since December 6, 2023 on Monday. They were beaten by Rustburg 46-18. Randolph-Henry has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lunenburg Central's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4. As for Randolph-Henry, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Lunenburg Central beat Randolph-Henry 41-29 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Will Lunenburg Central repeat their success, or does Randolph-Henry have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
