Basketball Recap: Shawnee Mission Christian Triumphs

If Eagle Heights Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Shawnee Mission Christian, they should've done a better job of containing Ella Wilson. The Shawnee Mission Christian Mustangs managed a 31-26 victory over the Eagle Heights Christian Eagles on Friday thanks in part to Wilson, who went 8 for 11 on her way to 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (three).

Another player making a difference was Isabella Anderson, who posted six points along with five boards and four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

The win got Shawnee Mission Christian back to even at 4-4. As for Eagle Heights Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Shawnee Mission Christian will take on Liberty HomeSchool Alliance at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Eagle Heights Christian, they will face off against Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eagle Heights Christian's defense has only allowed 27 points per game this season, so Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri's offense will have their work cut out for them.
