Basketball Recap: Make It Seven in a Row for Potter's House Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Potter's House Christian). They claimed a resounding 80-10 victory over the Excel Christian Academy Spartans. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Potter's House Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alanna Tatum, who went 8 of 11 on her way to 18 points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sara Dagba, who went 9 of 12 on her way to 18 points along with five boards and three steals.

The win (which was Potter's House Christian's seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Excel Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Potter's House Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Gainesville at 2:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Excel Christian Academy will take on Oasis Christian in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
