Softball Recap: Quincy Wins Going Away Against Granite City

Quincy had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Granite City on Saturday. The Blue Devils blew past the Warriors 13-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Blue Devils also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Avary Hlubek was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Maycee Seward, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Quincy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Granite City only managed five hits.

Quincy's record now sits at 8-15. As for Granite City, they dropped their record down to 7-12 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Quincy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair will be back at it again later today.
