It was a good run, but Charlottesville unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Orange County Fighting Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fighting Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-7 back in April.

Charlottesville's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Orange County, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-10.

Looking ahead, Charlottesville will venture away from home to take on Louisa County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Black Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Orange County, they will take on Fluvanna County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Flying Flucos will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Fighting Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
