Mountain View has gone a perfect 3-0 against Fremont recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Spartans will welcome the Firebirds at 6:45 p.m. The timing is sure in Mountain View's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Fremont has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
On Thursday, Mountain View was able to grind out a solid victory over Gunn, taking the game 3-1.
Mountain View had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-17, 27-25, 25-19.

Owen Hammer and Tyler Berent were among the main playmakers for Mountain View as the former had 22 assists and three digs and the latter had six kills, five digs, and two aces. That's the most assists Hammer has posted since April 2nd.
They weren't the only good server: Mountain View was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Fremont didn't have quite enough to beat Wilcox on Friday and fell 3-2.
Fremont took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 21-25, 17-25, 25-23, 15-11.
Fremont's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Mountain View, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season.
Mountain View came out on top in a nail-biter against Fremont in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Firebirds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
