The Hatboro-Horsham Hatters lost against the Quakertown Panthers back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hatboro-Horsham took a 59-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Quakertown.
Hatboro-Horsham lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ryan Smith, who scored 12 points along with six assists. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for him. Shane Phillips was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Hatboro-Horsham has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Quakertown, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hatboro-Horsham and Upper Dublin will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Upper Dublin presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hatboro-Horsham in Pennsylvania (Upper Dublin is ranked tenth, while Hatboro-Horsham is ranked 472nd). As for Quakertown, they will head out on the road to face off against Abington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Abington will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
