The Cleveland Blue Raiders lost against the Bradley Central Bears back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Cleveland suffered a rough 65-42 defeat at the hands of Bradley Central. While losing is never fun, Cleveland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Bradley Central is ranked first).
Several Blue Raiders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lauren Hurst, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Ma?kyah Westfield, who scored 12 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Cleveland and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for Bradley Central, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cleveland will take on Chattanooga Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Chattanooga Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 452 points over their last seven contests. As for Bradley Central, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Knoxville Catholic at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Knoxville Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday.
