Legacy and Fort Collins are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Legacy Lightning will be playing at home against the Fort Collins Lambkins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Legacy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 11 games.
Even though Horizon scored an imposing 58 points on Friday, Legacy still came out on top. Legacy snuck past Horizon with a 63-58 win.
Legacy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joey Delescinskis, who scored 20 points along with three steals. Delescinskis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaedon Ward, who scored 17 points.
Meanwhile, Fort Collins fought the good fight in their overtime match against Boulder on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 77-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (63), Fort Collins still had to take the loss.
Legacy is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Fort Collins, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7.
