The Trinity Christian Academy Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They really took it to Fayette Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-19 win at home. That 53 point margin sets a new team best for Trinity Christian Academy this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trinity Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anna Sanders, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tori Robinson, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Allie reese Herzke and Hannah Logan certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Herzke scored six points, while Logan scored six points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Logan has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.
Trinity Christian Academy's win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-15. As for Fayette Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing University School of Jackson the next time they take the court. Trinity Christian Academy will host the Bruins at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Vikings will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
