The Parkway Panthers will head out to square off against the Tinora Rams at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Parkway will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Parkway's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Adams Central as they made off with a 12-0 win. Considering the Panthers have won ten matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Brittyn Bruns was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple.
In other batting news, KJae Stover was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Emmery Temple, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
Parkway hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tinora). They blew past Kalida 14-0 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Like Parkway, Tinora also got a great game from a two-way player: Zoe Billings. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Billings was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madison Spangler, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Alexia Rios was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Parkway's record is now 12-0. As for Tinora, their record now sits at 5-8.
Tinora's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Parkway has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.4 hits per game. It's a different story for Tinora, though, as they've been averaging 8.8 hits. Given Parkway's sizable advantage in that area, the Rams will need to find a way to close that gap.
Parkway was able to grind out a solid win over Tinora in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 10-5. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
