The Granger Lancers pushed their score all the way to 64 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 81-64 fall against Hunter. Granger has not had much luck with Hunter recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Granger lost, one person who can't be blamed is Daudi Aweyso. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Henry Tidwell, who scored four points along with two steals.
It was another big night for Uluaki Taukiuvea, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 14 rebounds for Hunter. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Taukiuvea has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaquel Cossa, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Granger's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Hunter, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granger will take on Kearns at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Kearns is ranked 110th, while Granger is ranked 126th). Hunter will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on West Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
