The Rise University Prep Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 82-62 walloping at the hands of KIPP SF College Prep. Even though they lost, Rise University Prep's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 52 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Loss or not, Rise University Prep got some senior leadership from Marcus Cage who scored 16 points and Tyrone Hillman III who scored 16 points. Cage scored a full 25.8% of Rise University Prep's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Wilson, who scored 8 points.
Rise University Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for KIPP SF College Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Rise University Prep will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Valley Christian at 5:30 p.m. KIPP SF College Prep will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Oceana at 6:30 p.m. on December 8th. Oceana will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
