The Cox Mill Chargers will face off against the East Rowan Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cox Mill's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so East Rowan's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
East Rowan will be up against a hot Cox Mill squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Cox Mill came out on top against A.L. Brown by a score of 7-3 on Friday.
Jackson Caldwell made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, Cox Mill let Tyler Cartee and Dillon Alves run wild. Cartee scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Alves got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI and one double. Those three hits gave Cartee a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tyler Hicks, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, East Rowan owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over Carson. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
The result came thanks to Harrison Ailshie's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because East Rowan is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-2 otherwise.
At the plate, East Rowan's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brady Ailshie, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.
Cox Mill's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for East Rowan, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
