The North Hagerstown Hubs will venture away from home to square off against the Williamsport Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in North Hagerstown's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 matches.
North Hagerstown is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Linganore: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that North Hagerstown blew Linganore out of the water with an 84-48 final score. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Hubs had established a 34 point advantage.

Joey Dorsey and Landon Somerville were among the main playmakers for North Hagerstown as the former went 10-for-15 on his way to 24 points and five assists and the latter went 7-for-10 en route to 18 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Somerville is becoming a predictor of North Hagerstown's success: when he posts at least three steals the team is 14-1 (and 1-5 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Cespedes, who posted eight points in addition to five assists and five boards.
North Hagerstown smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Williamsport entered their tilt with Boonsboro on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with eight. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Warriors 83-54. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Warriors are ranked 231st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
North Hagerstown better focus on containing Jahmeir Byrd and Ceonta Wilmore as the pair were huge in Williamsport's win. Byrd went 12-for-14 to rack up 25 points along with five steals and three blocks, while Wilmore went 7-for-10 on his way to 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. Wilmore is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last 13 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Zay Oree, who went 5-for-10 en route to 12 points.
Williamsport's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.5 points over those games. As for North Hagerstown, their record is now 15-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: North Hagerstown has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 33.4 boards per game. However, it's not like Williamsport struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
North Hagerstown strolled past Williamsport in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 77-61. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Hagerstown since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
