Hauser has gone a perfect 6-0 against Milan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Jets will take on the Indians at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Hauser comes in on three and Milan on five.
Hauser is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Crothersville with a sharp 14-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Jets, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Haven Hartwell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Hauser got a massive performance out of Isabelle Brunner, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Lexie Hamilton, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Hauser kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Crothersville only managed two hits.
Meanwhile, Milan hadn't done well against Rising Sun recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Indians narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Shiners 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Indians have posted against the Shiners since April 14, 2023.
Like Hauser, Milan also got a great game from a two-way player: Kynadee Bode. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Bode was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.
Bode wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Caroline McMillan, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.
Milan's win bumped their record up to 24-9. As for Hauser, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.
Hauser came out on top in a nail-biter against Milan in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Jets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
