While De La Salle is riding high with a 3-0 record that includes a big win over St. John's (Washington, D.C.), defending national champ Gorman is in unfamiliar territory.
On the heels of a 55-game win streak, the Gaels (1-2) have lost two in a row for the first time in over a decade.
This isn't the first meeting between the storied programs, which have been recognized as national champions (by at least one media outlet) a combined 10 times since 1993. De La Salle beat Gorman 28-14 back in 2010 en route to an unbeaten season.
