The Ritenour Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Parkway South by a score of 55-53. Ritenour was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Parkway South apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Eddie Ahearn continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Parkway South, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Wolf, who scored five points.
Ritenour has fallen quite a ways from their 16-8 record last season and are now at 2-6. As for Parkway South, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ritenour will take on St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in St. Mary's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Parkway South will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Oakville at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th.
