Baseball Recap: Penn Cambria Comes Up Short

The Penn Cambria Panthers came up short against the Philipsburg-Osceola Mounties on Tuesday, falling 15-5.

Caden Gibbons made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Corbin Vinglish, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Penn Cambria's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Philipsburg-Osceola, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Penn Cambria and Philipsburg-Osceola will both be playing Bellwood-Antis the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Mounties will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
