Oakton had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the St. Albans Bulldogs as they made off with a 9-3 victory. The nine-run effort marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Oakton's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for St. Albans, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakton will welcome Woodson at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Albans, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Miller School of Albemarle at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Miller School of Albemarle will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something St. Albans surely won't give up without a fight.
