The Suwannee Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Gadsden County Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Suwannee will be strutting in after a win while Gadsden County will be coming in after a loss.
Last Tuesday, Suwannee was able to grind out a solid win over Palatka, taking the game 54-42. The victory was just what Suwannee needed coming off of a 51-19 loss in their prior contest.
Among those leading the charge was Shadavia Jones, who scored 18 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Suwannee's points. Zjamyah Wilson was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Meanwhile, Gadsden County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Godby 65-34. Gadsden County has struggled against Godby recently, as their match on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The victory got Suwannee back to even at 2-2. As for Gadsden County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Suwannee strolled past Gadsden County when the teams last played back in December of 2022 by a score of 48-30. The rematch might be a little tougher for Suwannee since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
