The Thatcher Eagles can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They blew past Catalina 67-11 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-3.
Leading Thatcher to victory were Chad Johnson and Braden Bryce. Johnson scored 12 points, while Bryce scored ten points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that Bryce grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Dylan Riney, who scored nine points along with two steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Thatcher and bumps their season record up to 13-6. As for Catalina, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
Thatcher will head out on the road to take on Pima at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pima will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Catalina, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Empire at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Empire is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
