Manti led 3A - South in scoring this week by notching 34 points on Canyon View. Connor Aste threw for 240 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 44 yards during the win.
The Templars' dynamic duo of Aste and Brad Sego proved tough for the Falcons to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Kamren Fowles helped Manti's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 38 yards.
He went 11-14 with 0 interceptions.
Trevor Alder was a key player and the best on defense this week as Manti topped Canyon View. He recorded 2 fumbles.
Juab's Nick Robins and Brandon Morgan have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Robins has thrown for 1,821 yards this season, while Morgan has 33 catches for 694 yards. Fowles from Cole Meacham's team leads the league in rushing with 1,151 yards.
Going into this week's contest against Grantsville, the Wasps' Robins needs 179 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.
The Hawks made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,083 from 10,745. The improvement was the result of a 16-14 victory over the Rabbits last week.
