Angleton posted their biggest victory since November 15th on Saturday. Everything went their way against the New Caney Eagles as the Angleton Wildcats made off with a 50-28 win. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 421st, while the Eagles are ranked 1168th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why New Caney lost, don't look at Emily Mccants. Despite the final result, she posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Kassidy Hammond, who earned six points.

Angleton's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for New Caney, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

Angleton has already played their next contest, a 41-29 loss against Alief Hastings on the 7th. As for New Caney, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 50-22 defeat against Oak Ridge on the 7th.
