It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Greenville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers 6-5. The Red Raiders haven't had any issues with the Fighting Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-10. As for Blue Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenville will square off against Easley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Blue Ridge, they will challenge Seneca at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
