It was a good run, but the Box Elder Bees unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were outmatched by Bountiful at home and fell 89-58. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Box Elder has suffered since December 1, 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Box Elder lost, one person who can't be blamed is Max Isaacson. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points along with four blocks and two steals. Isaacson has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last five times he's played. Elijah Kersey was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
It was another big night for Carson Smith, who scored 27 points for Bountiful. Smith hasn't dropped below 15 points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Heath, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and two steals.
Box Elder's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-10. As for Bountiful, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Box Elder will take on Woods Cross at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Woods Cross is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Bountiful, they will be playing at home against Viewmont at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Viewmont's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests.
