The Ypsilanti Grizzlies put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 63-8 victory over Redford Union. Considering Ypsilanti has won four matches by more than 44 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Ypsilanti found their leader in underclassman Rochelle Robinson, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Robinson scored 15 or more points. Makayla Taylor was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Ypsilanti's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Redford Union, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ypsilanti will square off against Pontiac at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Pontiac will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 586th, while Ypsilanti is ranked 158th). As for Redford Union, they will head out on the road to face off against Garden City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
