The Emerson Vo-Tech Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost to East at home by a decisive 72-53 margin. Emerson Vo-Tech lost against East in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 63-52 score last time.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jussean Pearsall, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. The matchup was Pearsall's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dallas Hernandez, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 18 rebounds.
Emerson Vo-Tech's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for East, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Emerson Vo-Tech will take on Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
