Faith Christian enjoyed a cozy 47-28 victory over the Knights on Tuesday. Given Faith Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 316th, while the Knights are ranked 756th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Faith Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaden Coester led the charge by scoring ten points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Coester has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Rydzinski, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Faith Christian's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Unity Christian, they dropped their record down to 1-16 with that loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Faith Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against the Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Unity Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Quad Cities Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.6 points per game this season.
