After soaring high against Classical Academy on Friday, Icarus fell to the ground on Friday. Waimea found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 0-32 punch to the gut against Kauai. If Waimea were hoping to take revenge for the 3-23 loss against Kauai the last time the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
The defeat dropped Waimea's record to 1-2. The win bumped Kauai's record up to 3-0.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Waimea have some extra time to regroup and restrategize before their next game, which is against Kapa'a at Hanapepe Stadium at 7:30 PM in two weeks. As for Kauai, they will face off against Kapa'a.
