The Olympus Titans can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They put the hurt on Mountain Crest with a sharp 53-31 win. The win was just what Olympus needed coming off of a 57-35 defeat in their prior match.
Leading Olympus to victory were Tessa Cromar and Keily Trabanino. Cromar scored 14 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals, while Trabanino scored 21 points along with 6 steals and 5 assists. Trabanino has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Chloe Bontempo was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 5 rebounds.
The victory got Olympus back to even at 3-3. As for Mountain Crest, the last time they won on the road was back on Wednesday. Having now lost three straight away matches, they've bumped their record down to 0-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olympus will take on Taylorsville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Taylorsville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday. As for Mountain Crest, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Uintah at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Uintah is ranked 72nd, while Mountain Crest is ranked 95th).
