The Preble Shawnee Arrows fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 40-31 win over Ansonia on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Preble Shawnee also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Preble Shawnee's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Addison Sargent-eckert, who scored 13 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Autumn Smith, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Preble Shawnee's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Ansonia, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Preble Shawnee the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Bishop Fenwick at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th. Ansonia will take on Botkins at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
