It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 62-13, which was the final score in Tarboro's tilt against the Red Barons on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Tarboro can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 492nd, while the Red Barons are ranked 123rd).
Meanwhile, Bertie was the victim of a tough 54-30 loss at the hands of the Red Barons on Friday. Bertie has struggled against the Red Barons recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

That was a full 43.3% of Bertie's points, marking the tenth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Tarboro ended up a good deal behind the Falcons in their previous meeting back in January, losing 48-31. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Peele, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
